Jade Cocoon Wiki

The Spider Forest is a location in Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu. It is the third Forest encountered in Parel Forest. Spider Forest is locked until obtaining the Spider Key from Kikinak in the Dragonfly Forest.

General Info[]

Throughouth the exploration you will encounter creatures from level 7 to 8. You may fight a second time the poacher. Beware this is not a mandatory figth but you will granted some rewards.

This is the biggest forest of the game, feel free to explore every part of it. There are some side quests such as the Yamu's family one.

Here is the map of this area :

You can give the Kickleberry , that you previously found on the ground in the entrance of the dragonfly's forest, to the Totoyamu's daughter ( Yami ). She will give you some informations about her family.

The Totoyamu's wife (Kakayamu) can be found in the deeper forest and you gave her a divine tablet. The Totoyamu's son ( Yamu ) could be found and he will tell you that his dad is around here and he only knows where the Calabas herb could be found.

The strategy here is quite simple.

Rush to Totoyamu's location and give him the Reese's ring. Then you will be teleported back to the village and a council is about to come. After a short briefing Attorg gave you the W.W.E belt. As an ancient W.W.E, he defeated the undertaker in a glorious match that took place not too far away from Golan.

Joke aside, this item is needed to complete the side quest about Yamu. Go to the spider forest once more and give it to him. He will indicate you where the herb is blooming. In fact, it is spreading not too far away from the divine tree.

Go to the gate in the middle of the forest that is similar to a mirror and you couldn't go through earlier. Explore a little bit this area but keep in mind that you should go to the far right to finish the task.

A cutscene will trigger and you use an enchantment to capture the tree's spirit. Yamu is yelling at you and you are in urge to go back to the village and report your duty.

The next part is crucial since you could be softlocked in the game. This is the only part in the game that a gameover may appears.

  • Tergrip (earth-type same as Doghambu ): level 7.

Poacher fight :

He is summoning a Lagoat. So the strategy here is quite simple. Use a fire minion such as Sherick. Due to Lagoat's Magic defense weakness ( 100 in MD GR ), Sherick could be a great option. Otherwise, use your fire type minions that you encountered in the beetle or dragonfly forest.

Since the Poacher is a neutral minion, his damage modifier are set to 32. And notice that his defense and magic defense are around 80 and 50. So use any type of high magical or special attack. And this will do the trick.

Beware this semi-boss could be hard in the extreme mod ( there will be a walkthrough's page about this specific mod ).

After the fight, he grants you a great wallnut and a skeleton key.
