hello again Naali... you know me on gamefaqs as Oretnom. i was checking something here and i have some aditional info on this particualr glitch wich has been my favorite and i been abusing since the first time i got this game...
ok this works since the game store the skills of the mosters that still arent purified into a temporary slot, if you capture 12 pataimel for example and then save purify them and caugth a single skaeeb and then load the file just before we purified the pataimel, the first pataimel will have the skills of skaeeb and all the others will still have pataimel normal atacks.
now lets start with a similar example... caugth 12 pataimel, save, reset or turn off the console (or emulator) and load the same file. now all pataimel have lost all of theyr skills.
one more... lets caught 12 pataimel, save in a new slot, reset, load a file in the bettle forest of the netherworld, caught 5 patamanty and 1 swav, save to a new slot, load a file in the firefly forest of the netherworld, catch one jirahl. load the file you made where we have 5 patamanty and 1 swav... purify them, the first patamanty you should have rend wings on its claws, just like jirahl, while the other 4 patamanty and the swav have theyr normal skills... now load the file with the 12 pataimel, purify them, and look at theyr skills...
the first one should have jirahl rend wings on his claws, the next 4 should have patamanty absorb hp on its claws, the next one should have swav break legs on its tail and agnia, but the other 6 should have no skills at all.
this proves with little to no marging of error that the skills are stored in a temporal "slot" wich keeps the information untill its being override by catchin a new minion or erased by reseting or turning off the console.
