Is it possible to extract models from the game with a program such as ninja riper or 3dripperDX? It would be cool to have an Arpatron or a Levant model that could be animated or made into a VR chat avatar.

<p>Doing a brief scan, there doesn't appear to be any mention of differences in the PAL version (I can see why... Trying to find anyone else who played it way back when I was in school was impossible :( ). If there's anything in particular you would like comparing (I'll make a start on the cheats/glitches section for now), I'll be happy to help. </p><p>I'm so glad to see such a wiki exist- I was never part of the Game Boy generation, yet this game seems have been miles ahead of Pokemon and other competition at the time, bringing in merging and decent 2-player 3-D battles years before the competition. The only problem, again, was finding others interested in playing it- I got a couple of the more hardcore RPG gamer friends playing it, but they were at a disadvantage compared to my far higher level minions. However, it was cool to see the differences in how we grew them. </p>

<p>Hello! </p><p>Around a year ago I was active in this wiki when I was trying to get 100% in Jade Cocoon and seeing everything the game has to offer. I only helped out with very little things but it was my first time participating in a wiki and it was fun. Unfortunately I was busy with other stuff after that and I still don't have the 100%. </p><p>But I really like this game and I wanted to help out in the wiki again. So first I wanted to ask if some people are still active here from time to time. And if any new big discoveries happened in the last year, e.g. finding out the exact drop rates for every item in the game. Are there any specific parts of the wiki where one can help out? </p><p>I also started playing the japanese version of the game. Want to see the differences beween the versions & different voice acting. And at some point play Jade Cocoon 2 if it's good. </p>

Does Jade Cocoon fanfiction exist? Does anyone write any?

<p>I was just thinking... would it maybe be a good idea to have pages listing the JC1 minions by family? A lot of them actually did get clearly defined families in JC2, but I just mean like... the similar minions and then the recolour/elemental versions. Like, there's Nushab, Rashab and Mukshab who're differently shaped snake/worm types with the same name ending. And then (for example) Nushab has the Skwoot/Radoot/Pataoot/Teraoot quartet that spins off from it. I think it'd be easier to navigate the complete minion list if we had pages like this, and it'd be easier to group design trivia or other facts that might apply to an entire line. Like linking to Shab Liquor on the general Shab family page, but then mentioning on Nushab's page that it's the only one that drops the item. </p><p>Also, they're organized that way in the artbook. There's a concept art page for Nushab, Rashab and Mukshab together, etc. For some families it would be kinda hard to edit the image to separate them, then it might look disorganized that the elemental variations don't have concept art. (Unless someone would be able to edit the art to look like them? Im not very good at recolours sorry.) </p><p>Also, pointlessly, I really like the Shab monsters! Are they anyone else's favourite, lol? </p>

<p>Should Jade Cocoon 2 have been released with a different title, instead of as a sequel to Jade Coocoon?  The art style and combat system are so different. All they really kept were the names. Could they have simply changed the names, and no one would have really been able to tell it was based off the original Jade Cocoon? Some elements of the old story are referenced, but not much, and you could have made a few changes here and there. </p>

Are there any jade cocoon avatars? I've like to have some jade cocoon avatars so I can advertise jade cocoon on forums to people who have never heard of it. But most of the photos here wouldn't make good avatars.

<p>The JC1 minion template, currently located at User:DanPMK/TemplateMinionJC1, is essentially complete now. With a lot of work by myself, Lexi, Naali, Flossome and Chimera, most of what we know about the minion data structure is represented in this template now in a nice readable and extensible format. Documentation is located here, which also includes an example. If you haven't been following, it can represent all minions, both captured and merged, with all the magic spells and special attack permutations, as well as extensive stat calculations. </p><p>While I originally was going to have a grand template compatible with both JC1 and JC2, I realized the games are different enough that it was making the template inefficient (there were checks for which game on almost every consequential line!) and much harder to read thanks to the line noise that is wiki formatting :P So after consulting with Lexi, Naali and Flossome, the template was bisected (JC2 half is not yet done). </p><p>There are a few things that we haven't finished figuring out yet, such as the HP formula, but I believe the template is complete enough that it can be moved into the main namespace and begin to replace the existing template. There is plenty to be added in the future, such as how the Def-Spd ratio affects status effects, but that can always be added later (there's also a bunch of bytes in the minion data structure we haven't deciphered yet!). Only other thing I was pondering was a Strategy section, to cover boss strategies, and how to handle minions in general. </p><p>What do you guys think? Are there any changes you want to be made? Missing features? Style changes? Or any questions at all? </p>
